Project Manager
Custodia is a UK based company, founded in 2017, with a wider presence in North America, Europe and Asia both directly and through strategic partnerships.
Our current key offering is the CC1 (Compliance Cloud One) service, which records, stores and normalises any type of communications data. This includes common platforms such as phone, email, SMS, Microsoft Teams, WhatsApp and WeChat, allowing companies to communicate in a compliant manner while driving greater data‑driven insights from data already in their possession.
The Project Manager will be part of the Professional Services Team implementing the Custodia product. The role involves managing complex software implementation and/or infrastructure projects with external customers, providing multi‑skilled service delivery, and developing and maintaining customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
* Set up, organize, manage, control and deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the right quality, in line with Custodia’s Project Management methodology.
* Plan and control projects, including monitoring, risk analysis, change control and contingency planning while maintaining overall project direction and integrity.
* Take financial responsibility as defined, produce weekly (external and internal) reports, and direct and motivate the project team.
* Produce and maintain project plans using Microsoft Project.
* Agree, maintain and monitor project plans with customers, in line with Custodia’s methodology.
* Take responsibility for overall progress and use of resources, initiating corrective action where necessary.
* Co‑ordinate project tasks.
* Plan and control project resources, including managing the project team.
* Liaise with other teams within Custodia as required.
* Lead and chair key workshops such as scoping, project kick‑off and review meetings.
Responsibilities
* Utilise MS Project to plan in detail, considering scope, resources, schedule, costs, communication and quality, to ensure a smooth transition to the new solution.
* Ensure the solution is carried out by tracking project progress and milestones against the agreed plan.
* Responsible for risk monitoring and control.
* Lead a weekly project update meeting for the Leadership Team.
* Lead daily or weekly (as needed) project update calls with the customer, keeping them updated with progress and ensuring they complete required tasks.
* Possess a strong character with the ability to influence people across the organisation and within the client’s company to ensure timely completion of tasks.
* Be flexible as customer projects may span different time zones and sometimes require change of hours to support customer calls.
Qualifications & Skills
* Positive, proactive and self‑motivated individual.
* Strong interpersonal skills, working well as part of a team or alone with minimal supervision.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to deliver messages clearly and concisely tailored to the recipient’s viewpoint, whether technical, managerial or strategic.
* Ability to present to audiences and lead customer meetings such as design, requirements gathering or build workshops.
* Proven project‑management experience implementing software and/or infrastructure for external customers.
* Strong commercial awareness.
* PRINCE2 Practitioner or PMP Qualification.
* Competent in the use of MS Project and proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Strong organisational ability.
* Ability to foster and maintain collaborative working relationships and promote sharing of best practice.
* Ability to inform and persuade others, understand issues and requirements, and respond with options and recommendations.
* Capacity to manage expectations and control change in an IT project environment.
* Flexible with good time‑management skills; willing to work away from home and during non‑standard hours when required.
