18.5 hours per week Fixed term until 05.01.2026 We have an exciting role on offer within our Cultural Services as a Box Office Supervisor. Middlesbrough Council is seeking a Box Office Supervisor to work within the sales and marketing team at Middlesbrough Town Hall and Middlesbrough Theatre. Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Manager, the post-holder will work across both venues, leading a team of Box Office Assistants to deliver exceptional customer service and generate revenue and footfall to our performances. Please note that this is a part-time role, working collaboratively with another Box Office Supervisor within the wider Sales and Marketing team of Middlesbrough Council’s culture service. This is a customer-facing role, and the post holder will work shifts in the box office as well as carrying out supervisory tasks such as, but not limited to – Managing the monthly rota. Team training and development, ensuring the team delivers the highest standard of customer service. Using the Spektrix ticketing system to create events and reports, manage day-to-day ticket enquiries and process sales. Processing guest lists and third-party sales as required. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with significant experience of working within a box office, who is comfortable leading a team and delivering excellent customer service across a variety of channels (in person, over email, over the phone). The box office team works to a monthly rota and as such, this ideal candidate will be available to work a mix of weekdays, weekends and evenings. We aim to be flexible where possible; if you are unavailable on specific days or times, please indicate this at the interview stage. Additional hours may also be available on a casual basis.
