The Role
The successful applicant will need to be a highly driven Sales Development manager focused entirely on internal growth. You will be the dedicated relationship champion for a defined portfolio of high value key accounts. You will play a vital, process driven role whilst reporting to the Group Commercial Director. Your primary objective is to cultivate, expand, and maximise long term profitable relationships by driving cross sell and up sell opportunities, championing their excellent services and positioning them as essential competitive advantages for their existing customers.
Responsibilities
* Drive strategic account planning and execution
* identify high-potential growth pathways through cross-sell and up-sell activities.
* Serve as the primary internal relationship holder and client champion.
* Systematically identify and maximise 'wallet share' within existing contracts, proactively introducing company services where clear value exists.
* Champion key account retention and loyalty, managing the full contract renewal lifecycle effectively to ensure sustainable, long-term profitability.
* Support the Commercial Director on strategic pricing reviews and internal forecasting directly related to your assigned account portfolio.
* Deliver data-driven insights back to the business regarding client health, satisfaction, and future needs.
Criteria
* Proven 3 years of demonstrable success in an Account Management, Inside Sales, or Key Account Development role within the Logistics, Supply Chain, or Haulage sector.
* Deep, current knowledge of client retention strategies and proven ability to manage complex internal commercial processes.
* Exceptional ability to forge and maintain profitable relationships remotely and internally with key account stakeholders and internal support teams.
* Highly organised, with a powerful drive to achieve recurring revenue targets and account growth objectives.
* Proven ability to communicate complex value propositions and drive consensus among internal and external teams through professional, data-backed communications.
* Minimal travel required, with focus mainly on internal alignment meetings or essential key client visits (NI/RO)
