This role is responsible for engaging key senior-level stakeholders within buyside organizations for discussions on best practices and innovations in asset management, as well as business development of workflow solutions and driving the sales process by identifying and targeting new prospects.
Role/Responsibilities:
* Drive the development of business within respective territories by selling workflows.
* Work with Relationship Managers to help drive the sales process by identifying and targeting prospects, initiating new sales activity, and managing cycles to closure.
* Discuss current asset management themes and topics in a technical manner with key stakeholders, including Private Credit, Alpha Generation, and Early Warning risk frameworks.
* Collaborate with Product Management and Strategy to improve product quality and develop new revenue sources.
* Assess client needs through consultative services and understanding specific challenges faced by their business or industry.
* Act as the market and workflow expert during the sales cycle.
* Coordinate Moody's Analytics responses to product and service requests from prospects and clients.
* Assist in preparing and circulating market insights to showcase Moody's expertise.
* Position requires travel (approximately 20% to 40%).
Qualifications:
* Undergraduate degree (e.g., Bachelor’s) with coursework in accounting, statistics, and economics.
* Graduate degree (e.g., MBA, Master’s) preferred.
* 10+ years’ experience in asset management and financial markets, with selling buyside solutions a plus.
* Strong consulting skills to interface effectively with senior investment officers and stakeholders.
* Experience with financial software tools.
* Proven track record of revenue generation in financial solutions sales.
* Experience with the full sales cycle in asset management.
* Knowledge of financial modelling and methodologies.
* Ability to present high-level and detailed product information.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Fluency in English; second European language preferred.
