KS2 Primary Teacher (Ysgol Bro Hyddgen)
Job description
Welsh language skills are essential for this position
The Governors of Ysgol Bro Hyddgen are keen to appoint a KS2 Primary teacher from the 1st of January 2026. This is a fixed-term position from January 2026 until 31 August 2026. The role offers an opportunity for the successful candidate to demonstrate their impact within the school, with the potential for a longer-term or permanent position beyond August, subject to performance and staffing requirements.
This is a golden opportunity to join a successful school for 4-19 year olds. The school's Primary Campus is a nice site where a healthy balance of experienced and young staff is working. The school prides itself on its academic standards, its cutting-edge teaching and learning methods, the extra curricular opportunities offered and the special relationship they have with the school's learners. Each teacher has his or her own teaching room with resources that meet the teaching and learning requirements of the twenty-first century.
It is essential that the successful candidate is able to communicate fluently in Welsh and English, both orally and in writing. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate a complete commitment to working in a school that is moving along the language continuum from being a dual stream school to being a dedicated Welsh-medium school where all children will leave being able to speak at least two languages.
This is a great opportunity for a hardworking, enthusiastic and ambitious teacher to join a very special school.
Applications are welcome from newly qualified and experienced teachers.
