Role Overview: The ASM will be responsible for converting sales leads into profitable business contracts whilst developing and maximising the relationships between existing and new customers, (Roofing, Builders and Plumbing merchants and distributors) creating demand by gaining business with builders and contractors and site visits to ensure specifications ae being adhered to.
This role will be covering the South Thames area and we are seeking individuals who live on patch. Areas such as BN, BR, CR, CT, DA, GU, KT, ME, RH, SE, SM, SW, TN, TW will be covered within this position.
Key Responsibilities Maintain detailed and accurate records of all customer contact, market intelligence and other key stakeholder information ensuring that this is passed to the Sales Director in a timely manner using systems in place (SALESFORCE) Generate sales leads into profitable business, ensuring revenue is maximized through the pursuit of strategic and target accounts including existing accounts, new accounts and qualified leads. (Accounts: Roofing, Building & Plumbing merchants and Distributors) Develop long term relationships with a designated group of Manthorpe customers/accounts and develop new leads and business opportunities in order to maximize sales. Provide timely, accurate and clear quotations and proposals to customers’ requirements in support of the development of new leads and opportunities. Work closely and communicate with the appropriate internal departments and staff to ensure resources, equipment and time is available for the proposal. Provide expert advice and guidance to new and existing customers on all aspects of the of Product Portfolio. Continuously seek out opportunities in the marketplace to sell additional business to Manthorpe customers and developing business with competitor customers. Contribute to sales bids as required and to be an effective contributor to the business sales strategy Support senior management and team leaders in planning, design and implementation of product portfolio and communicate all new products to all relevant existing and potential customers within the area. Maintain and enhance knowledge and understanding of the latest technological developments within Manthorpe Building Products area of expertise.
Skills & Requirements Experience of working in an external sales or account management role. Experience of working in the building construction Industry (Merchants). Good organisation and planning skills. Excellent communicator in both the verbal and written form. Able to produce accurate and timely quotations and presentations. Driving Licence. Ability to travel within UK as required.
