We’re looking for a Senior Estimator to prepare competitive net bid costs for a range of both contracting and development residential projects and frameworks in the Southern home counties / South Coast region.
The role of Senior Estimator will be to provide competitive, market based-pricing models for our residential bids and tenders. Arranging tender meetings including mid-tender reviews, pre-settlement and settlement meetings, while ensuring compliance with the Wates Operating Framework.
* Review and be conversant with all tender documents and instructions, including amendments, and using your professional experience and judgement to fill in gaps where there is ambiguity.
* Liaise with our Commercial team throughout the tender to agree bid strategies, prepare bespoke cost plan solutions to meet bid objectives.
* Extract information into subcontract and material packages and issue to our selected supply chain list as enquiries, validating subcontractor market data for use in cost plans.
* Liaise with the bid team to incorporate all CSR iniatives proposed for the tender, ensuring the pricing model mirrors written method statements and to highlight to the bid team any major discrepancies
* Build relationships with our supply chain and subcontractors, providing tender feedback on bid performance and competitiveness.
