We’re looking for a Qualified Management Accountant to join our team in Portsmouth. This is a full-time, permanent role working 37 hours per week. We offer a flexible approach to working between home and our Portsmouth office, with a minimum of 20% of this to be office-based to promote collaboration and teamwork.

Role responsibilities
As part of the financial reporting team, you’ll provide management and financial accounting support. Reporting to a Senior Accountant, you’ll assist in producing monthly accounts packs, KPI data, and variance analysis. You’ll analyze actual performance against budgets and coordinate detailed outturns, forecasts, and budgets with Heads of Service, managers, and budget holders. Additionally, you'll lead the quarterly VAT return process and analyze utility costs monthly.
This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to meet all reporting deadlines. You’ll lead budget review meetings and provide insightful financial guidance to budget holders.
