We are looking for a Services Buyer to join a bleeding-edge manufacturing and telecommunications business based in Greenwich on a permanent basis to support the growth of the business.
Hybrid Working Policy – 2 days on-site per week, 3 days WFH
Responsibilities:
* Work closely with internal departments to understand business requirements and develop bespoke Tenders and RFQ’s for services and capital items
* Research new suppliers, negotiate terms and pricing for a variety of goods and services across Benefits, Production Equipment, Site Facilities Equipment, and Services among others
* Creation, negotiation, maintenance and review of purchase agreements.
* Management of new and existing suppliers for purchasing requirements, including Supplier Business Reviews (SBR’s)
* Conduct market research into pricing trends for services and products
* Use of purchasing system (ideally SAP) for raising requisitions/PO’s/running reports/checking invoices and monitoring purchase orders.
* Assist with the new supplier onboarding/existing supplier modification process
* Ability to travel both within the UK and further afield to meet suppliers, distributors, and manufacturers as needed
Skills and Experience:
* A strong background of experience within Procurement positions and of managing contracts
* Confidence negotiating contracts and agreements with new and existing third party suppliers
* Experience with computerised purchasing systems, ideally SAP
