Job Title: Cover Supervisor (Day to Day)
Location: Wombwell
Pay Rate: £95 – £113 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day

GSL Education are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a vibrant secondary school in Wombwell on a day-to-day basis. This role is ideal for those who are passionate about education and want to support students’ learning in the absence of their regular teachers.
Responsibilities of a CS:
* Supervise whole classes during teacher absences, ensuring students complete the work set.
* Promote a calm, focused, and positive learning environment.
* Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s behaviour policy.
* Provide support and guidance to students where required.
* Report back to teaching staff on student progress, behaviour, and engagement.
To be successful as a Cover Supervisor, you should:
* Previous experience working with young people in an educational setting is desirable.
* Strong communication and classroom management skills.
* Ability to remain calm, adaptable, and professional in varying situations.
* A positive and proactive approach to supporting students’ learning.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
* Provide a full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
