Teaching‑Focused Lecturer in Life Sciences – Integrated Foundation Year Programme
Full‑Time, Permanent – 1.0 FTE ongoing position.
The Integrated Foundation Year (IFY) Programme at Royal Holloway, University of London, teaches and supports up to 400 students per year across a broad range of disciplines. We are expanding the STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics) strand to enhance the foundation year experience through more discipline‑focused courses.
Key Responsibilities
* Teach Foundation Year students across a broad range of areas within the Biological Sciences remit.
* Provide personal tutoring and academic support to students.
* Develop and deliver lessons that incorporate R Studio, encouraging students to embrace statistical analysis.
* Communicate effectively and adapt teaching methods to fit diverse student backgrounds, prioritising inclusivity and equity.
Qualifications & Skills
* Experience teaching Foundation Year or similar introductory courses in Biological Sciences.
* Expertise in using R Studio for statistical analysis in an education setting.
* Strong communication skills and ability to engage students from varied backgrounds.
* Demonstrated commitment to inclusivity, equity and the provision of skills for choice and opportunity.

£49,979 to £59,125 per annum – including London Allowance
