PIP 2 Investigator Department DAIU Location Aylesbury Rank/Grade TVP Broad Band 3H Salary Band 3H, £40,345 per annum, plus 15% shift allowance, plus benefits Part/Full Time Full Time - All roles are available for flexible working including job sharing and part-time unless there are legitimate operational / business reasons why this cannot be accommodated Type of Contract Permanent Document Attachment Instance 1 Document Attachment Instance 1 Document Attachment Instance 1 Document Attachment Instance 1 Job Advert Full time vacancy Thames Valley Police are looking for a self-motivated candidate who has a passion for serving victims of domestic abuse and seeking justice for them and the perpetrator. The Domestic Abuse Investigation Unit manage the most serious DA crimes and serious sexual assaults. You will be the Officer in the Case (OIC) and will see cases through to Crown Court trials. This is a demanding but satisfying role where you will be working daily in a small team and can really make a difference. Candidate must be a qualified PIP1 investigator and hold a driving licence. The successful candidate will plan, coordinate and undertake investigations as tasked, utilising all available appropriate techniques and technologies to detect and reduce crime thereby bringing offenders to justice. Support the wider investigative team as and when required by providing resilience, supporting fast time investigations where appropriate. Ensure investigative actions are recorded and maintained via NICHE to ensure accuracy, scrutiny, timely completion and adherence to the Victims Code. Capability to travel across the Force is required in order to undertake assignments in a timely manner and work flexibly. Due to unsocial hours and personal safety for lone working public transport may not be suitable. For this reason, a full driving licence is considered essential for this role.
