About the role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Highways Lighting Operative to work on our Street Lighting project in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. You will be responsible for providing support for electrical installations, repairs, planned maintenance and new installations.
Key responsibilities:
1. Assisting with the installation of signs / columns, bollards and associated equipment
2. 24-hour Emergency Response / Out of Hours Standby
3. Assisting with the installation of any new build works
4. Carry out works as instructed by the Site Supervisor in a safe manner, within the scope if relevant duties
5. Electrical inspection and testing including periodic testing
6. Fault diagnosis and repair
7. Ensure vehicles are maintained to a high standard, with vehicle defect sheet completed correctly
About you
8. Ideally 3 years Street Lighting Installations experience
9. Must demonstrate good awareness of site and company rules
10. Safe Isolation / G39
11. SWQR Qualification
12. MEWP Operator
13. ECS H&S Test
14. First Aid (Appointed Person)
15. Manual Handling
16. Preferable registration to Highways Electrical Level 3 NVQ
17. CPC Hours / DQC Card - LGV Licence
