Overview
Join One Stop Stores Ltd as a Shift Leader and lead our fast‑paced retail team. As a Shift Leader you will run duty shifts, drive a clean, full store, support customer experience and coach colleagues to deliver excellent service.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate the team to deliver the easiest shopping trip in the community.
* Open/close the store, manage duty cover and ensure decisions support customers, colleagues and safety.
* Act as the go‑to person for day‑to‑day operational queries in the absence of the Store Manager.
* Support the Store Manager with seasonal, community and charity events and create an inclusive atmosphere.
* Maintain a clean, tidy and well‑presented store, prioritise replenishment and manage point‑of‑sale details.
* Progressively manage queues, staffing and break schedules to deliver seamless customer journeys.
* Address any overcharges, customer queries and operational obstacles quickly and effectively.
* Communicate store updates, staff performance and incidents to the team and Store Manager.
* Ensure health and safety procedures are followed by all staff.
* Maintain post‑office duties if the store hosts a Post Office Local, subject to background checks.
