We are looking for an enthusiastic, grounded, yet innovative, Mental Health Practitioner who is committed to the principles of recovery to become part of the Southampton CRHTT. Our team seeks to support individuals with acute mental health needs requiring intensive input to remain in the community in a recovery-focused, supportive manner. We also support individuals along their journey through the Acute Care Pathway from the hospital environment to home.
This exciting post allows the successful applicant to develop experience in a community setting whilst also being a key part of the Acute Care Pathway, working in close liaison with the in-patient multi-disciplinary teams. There is also the opportunity to develop therapeutic skills working closely alongside our psychology team to deliver outcome-focused, time-limited interventions. The Southampton Acute Mental Health Team is a forward-thinking, service user-focused team which welcomes new ideas and seeks to deliver clinical excellence at all times. You will be offered a full induction, regular supervision, and team-based reflected practice.
As a practitioner in the team, you will take a role in the support and supervision of junior colleagues, as well as delivering high-quality, evidence-based interventions under the supervision of your senior colleagues. You will hold exemplary communication skills, enabling you to be a role model for others, as well as positively representing Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust. You will also liaise effectively with other services, both internal and external to Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, maintaining service user focus at the heart of any clinical decision-making to ensure the best outcome. The successful applicants will be expected to participate in a flexible, 24-hour, 7-days-per-week rota on a shift rotational basis.
