Brand new opportunity for an Inside Sales Account Manager to join our commercial sales team.
This is predominantly a desk-based role – 80% of your time will involve developing an existing account base of smaller customers, building deeper knowledge of their needs, and identifying opportunities to sell a broader range of Sharp products. The remaining 20% will focus on identifying and winning new accounts.
You will work as part of a dynamic, collaborative team of technology professionals, taking a consultative and customer-centric approach to ensure positive interactions and outcomes.
The role is based at the Wakefield office (WF3 2EE) with hybrid working arrangements – 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.

The role
1. Work collaboratively to maximize sales opportunities and enhance customer experience.
2. Achieve and surpass sales targets and KPIs aligned with sales objectives.
3. Identify decision makers and stakeholders to understand procurement processes, and record this information in CRM.
4. Demonstrate USPs that differentiate Sharp from competitors and align with customer needs.
5. Support account managers throughout the sales process.
6. Assist in delivering and following up on email campaigns, aiming to close sales or secure appointments.
7. Arrange stakeholder-level appointments for account managers or yourself as appropriate.
8. Drive new business opportunities through campaigns, account management, and growth within existing smaller customers.
9. Generate and qualify leads, and close opportunities.
10. Process sales orders accurately and timely.
11. Maintain up-to-date customer records and sales processes in CRM, with accurate forecasts.
12. Utilize LinkedIn and other social platforms to connect with potential customers and promote content.
13. Participate actively in sales meetings, including 1-2-1 sessions and regional team meetings.
Person specification
1. Experience in Sales, Account Management, Business Development, or Telesales.
2. Experience dealing with the commercial, corporate, or education sectors.
3. Ideally, background in IT or technology sales.
4. Proven success in an activity-driven sales environment.
5. Understanding of how and why workplace technology and IT products are used.
6. Experience with CRM systems and their role in sales.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
8. Experience in proposal writing and presenting solutions.
9. Professional, hardworking, and well-presented.
10. Customer-focused, target-driven, and results-oriented.
11. Ability to negotiate with senior management and directors.
12. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
13. Strong time management and organizational skills, able to work under pressure.
14. Commercially astute.
