Fund Accounting Business Analyst - London - Asset Management
We are working with a leading Asset Manager seeking a Fund Accounting Business Analyst to join on an initial 6-month contract. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting strategic initiatives across fund administration, accounting, and reporting processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing business analysis activities for end-to-end fund accounting processes, either within a fund administration role or at a fund accounting vendor. You will have experience in designing and implementing changes on fund accounting software platforms
Key Responsibilities:
* Work closely with Fund Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Regulatory Reporting teams to document and optimise existing operational processes.
* Perform business analysis across fund administration systems, including support for NAV calculations, reporting, and reconciliations
* Liaise between business stakeholders and technology teams to ensure alignment of requirements with modernisation goals.
* Conduct data analysis and validation using SQL to support solution design and implementation.
Experience
* Strong fund accounting product knowledge and background in accounting and project implementation on the buy or sell side.
* Complete understanding of fund accounting operations across the product lifecycle, including Chart of Accounts, General Ledger posting, NAV and P&L calculations, corporate action processing, trade booking, cash/income forecasting, FX exposure, custody management, stock loan and settlement, performance measurement, and client/operational reporting.
* Experience in an end-to-end Business Analyst role with exposure to full change/project lifecycle
* Experience with Accounting Book of Record and Investment Book of Record (ABOR and IBOR) and related change projects.
* Hands-on experience with platforms such as Invest One, Passport Reporting, Multifonds or similar fund accounting/reporting tools.
