Description
The successful Purchase Ledger Clerk will likely have the following responsibilities:
* Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
* Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
* Prepare payment runs and ensure all payments are authorised appropriately.
* Maintain and update the purchase ledger system.
* Assist with month-end tasks, including accruals and prepayments.
* Collaborate with other departments to address any invoicing or payment queries.
* Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the accounting function.
Profile
A successful Purchase Ledger Clerk should have:
* Experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role.
* Strong knowledge of accounting systems and processes.
* Excellent numerical and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
* A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
