Your new company
We are currently working on behalf of a Public-Sector body based in Belfast to recruit a Maintenance Officer with a Mechanical, HVAC, or Plumbing background on a temporary contract basis for an initial period of 6 months.
Your new role
The client requires an engineer with strong HVAC and Plumbing building services experience. This is a long-term contract for approximately 6 months, possibly extending further.
Reporting to the M&E Manager, you will be part of a team managing Planned and Reactive works across the estate, focusing on mechanical works.
Your responsibilities include overseeing planned and preventative maintenance, condition surveys, cost estimates, and managing tendered contracts, including supervision and inspection of mechanical works.
What you'll need to succeed
* Level 3 City & Guilds Plumbing and Heating / HVAC trade qualification
* Over 2 years of experience in estates or facilities management
* HNC / HND or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering / Building Services Engineering
* Experience with AutoCAD and creating specifications and cost estimates for small to medium projects (beneficial)
* Full UK driving license and access to a suitable vehicle
What you'll get in return
The role offers an immediate start with a large Public-Sector organisation on a temporary basis, with the possibility of extension. Salary is approximately £33,000 - £35,000 pro rata, paid weekly via Hays, with mileage expenses reimbursed.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week. Annual leave entitlement is 35 days per annum, pro rata.
