Our projects range from £5k to £15m, acting as Principal Contractor and Principal Designer, supporting Tier 1 contractor clients in subcontractor and off-site manufacturing roles.
Role Purpose
We are hiring due to continued growth. We need a skilled control panel designer to join us on a permanent, full-time basis. Your designs will be crucial for project success, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and delivery within budgets and timelines.
The Role
* Develop and execute electrical control panel designs, schematics, and general arrangements from concept to completion, ensuring standards and budgets are met.
* Maintain project documentation, track budgets, monitor progress, and address issues impacting scope, schedule, or budget.
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders including clients, project managers, contractors, and inspectors.
* Perform technical design calculations to ensure safety and integrity; coordinate with suppliers and teams.
* Review designs from other disciplines and contribute ideas to improve quality, safety, and sustainability.
* Regularly liaise with project managers and clients to provide updates and discuss risks.
Requirements
* Experience in control panel manufacturing/design.
* Experience in the water industry.
* Problem-solving and strong communication skills.
* Organized and enthusiastic.
* Knowledge of control systems, electrical software, LV switchgear, PLCs, instrumentation.
* Decision-making willingness.
