About KidsAid
KidsAid is dedicated to supporting children and families affected by trauma. We are seeking a Chair to provide leadership and facilitate the board of trustees to ensure effective decision-making and the delivery of our charitable purposes.
What you will do
* Provide strategic leadership to KidsAid as Chair of the Board of Trustees.
* Promote a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and effective risk management.
* Support the organisation in reaching more children, young people, and families in need.
* Attend six in-person board meetings annually in Northampton and participate in bi-monthly online subcommittee meetings.
* Dedicate approximately six hours per week to meetings, reports, and preparation.
What we are looking for
* Experience in charity governance and serving on or working with a Board of Trustees.
* Proven leadership skills, ideally at a senior or board level.
* Strong understanding of governance, charity law, and regulatory frameworks.
* Experience in chairing meetings, strategic planning, risk management, and leading organizational change.
* Knowledge of the charity sector's challenges and opportunities.
* Ability to engage and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
* Commitment to dedicating necessary time and effort.
* Alignment with Nolan’s principles of public life: selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty, and leadership.
