About Genosys Bio
Genosys Bio is developing a ML platform that designs synthetic regulatory DNA sequences to improve gene expression in biologics manufacturing. Our work focuses on solving one of the major bottlenecks in biologic drug production: low protein expression in mammalian production systems. By using machine learning to design promoter-terminator cassettes and other regulatory elements, we aim to help biopharma companies and CDMOs increase titres, reduce manufacturing costs and shorten development timelines.
We’re now hiring a Bioinformatician to improve and scale the computational core of our models. This is a key technical role, working closely with the founding team to develop predictive and generative models for sequence-expression optimisation.
The Role
As a bioinformatician, you will be responsible for developing the data, modelling, and analysis pipelines that power our models. You will work across RNA-seq data processing, regulatory sequence annotation, model training, benchmarking, interpretability, and sequence generation. This role sits at the intersection of bioinformatics, machine learning and synthetic biology.
This role also includes working with public and proprietary omics datasets, developing reproducible workflows and translating biological insight into model architecture and product features.
Qualifications
Bachelors in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field
Proficiency in Statistics and advanced data analysis methodologies
Knowledge of DNA Sequencing techniques and bioinformatics applications
Ability to interpret complex datasets and develop computational pipelines specific to genomic research
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Python and experience in building robust analysis pipelines
Experience working in biomanufacturing or synthetic biology is a plus
Why Join Us
This is an opportunity to join Genosys Bio at an early and high-impact stage. You will help shape the core technology of a platform designed to make drug production faster and cheaper. You will have significant ownership over the technical roadmap and the opportunity to build models that could become foundational infrastructure for biologics manufacturing.
