The Role
Reporting to the Design Manager, you’ll play a key role within our M&E Design Team — taking projects from concept through to completion.
You’ll:
* Design bespoke control systems using AutoCAD Electrical
* Produce electrical schematics, layout drawings, and cable schedules
* Compile bills of materials and project-specific documentation
* Get hands-on with functional testing, FAT support, and site surveys
While the role is primarily office-based, you’ll enjoy a healthy mix of design and practical engineering, ensuring your work directly contributes to real-world solutions.
About You
You’re an analytical, detail-oriented engineer who enjoys problem-solving and seeing your designs come to life. You may be qualified to HNC level (or equivalent experience) in electrical/electronic engineering and ideally have experience with industrial, building services, or HVAC systems.
You’ll bring:
* Strong grasp of electrical circuit theory and schematic interpretation
* Familiarity with UK electrical legislation
* Experience using AutoCAD Electrical (preferred)
* A proactive mindset and the ability to manage your own workload
(Bonus points if you have experience with control panel design, Functional Safety, or industrial combustion equipment — but training will be provided!)
