FCRMS Asset Management Business Systems Team Senior Advisor – 32232
Location: Wallingford, England, United Kingdom (office‐based with occasional travel)
The Environment Agency creates better places for people, wildlife, and the environment. This senior advisory role is part of the Asset Management Business Systems Team (AMBST), which supports the delivery of carbon‑management tools and programmes across the Agency.
Key Responsibilities
* Support EA and external users of operational carbon tools.
* Manage and deliver a range of services to users of carbon tools.
* Agree and maintain services with a range of different user groups.
* Act as a senior product user for digital improvement projects of our carbon tools and data.
* Plan and manage user activities in the implementation of carbon‑tool changes and improvements.
* Manage the resources and funding for carbon‑tools support and maintenance.
* Work with operational carbon communities and national leads as required.
* Collaborate with IT suppliers and internal EA teams, including FCRM, Operations, DDTS, and external stakeholders such as local authorities and the civil‑engineering supply chain.
Experience / Skills Required
* Experience in asset management and/or infrastructure business processes.
* Experience in digital tool development or user implementation services.
* Experience in the development of training and documentation.
* Knowledge and skills in stakeholder engagement and effective communications.
* Ability to identify, analyse, evaluate, and implement improved ways of working.
* Ability to take decisions and solve complex business problems.
* Strong focus on efficiency, innovation, and quality.
* Strong focus on customers and partners and ability to build and sustain relationships.
* Ability to manage yourself and work on your own initiative.
Additional Information
The role is predominantly office‑based, but travel will be required occasionally. Any location for your office base is acceptable. Everyone in AMBST is welcomed into the team and given all the training and support needed to succeed, including fully funded opportunities to develop further academic or professional qualifications.
