About the role
We’re looking for a Production and Banqueting Head Chef to lead our dedicated kitchen team, providing high-quality, consistent food across our restaurants, cafés, and events. From freshly prepared sandwiches and baked goods to large-scale banqueting and event catering, you’ll oversee the production of dishes that fuel our busy operation.
As Head Chef, you’ll manage the day-to-day running of the production kitchen, ensuring smooth operations, high standards, and efficient service delivery. You’ll take responsibility for menu planning, stock control, rota management, and developing the skills of your team - leading by example to create a supportive, motivated, and results-driven kitchen environment.
This is a full-time role (45 hours per week). On-site live-in accommodation is available if required, inclusive of bills and three free meals per day from our staff canteen.
What we need from you
1. Leadership Experience – Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a senior production kitchen role.
2. Operational Knowledge – Strong understanding of high-volume food production, stock management, and food safety.
3. Standards & Consistency – A passion for delivering quality and consistency at scale.
4. People Management – Skilled at leading, training, and inspiring a diverse kitchen team.
5. Organisation & Efficiency – Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
6. Flexibility – Adaptable to the varied needs of the business, from day-to-day production to event catering.
What you’ll get from us
7. £42,000 per annum plus a share of tips (estimated £2,000 per annum).
