Job Purpose:We are seeking a passionate and experienced IRO Service Manager to lead our Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) functions. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in promoting the welfare of children and young people, ensuring their voices are heard and considered in statutory reviews and children's plans.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the IRO functions in line with relevant legal frameworks, statutory guidance, and best practice principles.
* Provide support and challenge to Children's Social Care to continuously improve performance and quality in practice.
* Promote and facilitate the active involvement of children, young people, and families in statutory reviews and children's plans.
* Ensure the effective and efficient delivery of services, driving high service standards and achieving outcomes in line with performance indicators.
* Provide analysis related to service area activity to inform wider planning and commissioning agendas.
* Support strategic service development work as directed by the Head of Service.
