Job Description
Here’s your chance to own full, end-to-end exterior lighting development for a fast-moving two-wheeler and mobility programme.
This is not a desk-bound CAD role. You’ll take real products from a blank sheet through to Start of Production, work directly with Tier-1 suppliers, and see your designs on the road.
You won’t be boxed into a narrow discipline either. This role sits right at the intersection of styling, engineering, cost, manufacturing, and regulation - exactly where real vehicle programmes succeed or fail. And this isn’t about specifying off-the-shelf lamps. You’ll be developing fully engineered lighting systems under aggressive cost, packaging, and regulatory constraints for mass-market production.
If you’re tired of roles where nothing ever gets launched, this is where your work actually ships.
What you’ll do
* Bring your exterior lighting engineering expertise to these vehicle development programmes, with a strong focus on motorcycles and light mobility platforms.
* You’ll own lighting systems from concept packaging with styling through to SOP, including feasibility, CAD design, supplier interface, validation, homologation, and production support.
* You’ll work directly with global Tier-1 lighting suppliers to manage RFQs, DVPs, tooling reviews, prototypes, first-off parts and production ramps - fixing real-world manufacturing and quality issues as they happen.
What you’ll need
* Significant recent experience in automotive or motorcycle lighting systems engineering.
* You must have taken at least one full exterior lighting system from concept to production. Concept-only profiles will not fit this role.
* Strong 3D CAD capability in Creo, CATIA, or SolidWorks, with hands-on experience across both A-surface and B-surface design for complex injection-moulded, sealed lighting components.
* Solid understanding of LED and electronic packaging (PCB, drivers, cooling, harness interfaces). You won’t design electronics, but you must know how to package for them.
* You must be someone who’s genuinely worked through the trade-offs between styling, manufacturability and cost — not just drawn pretty lamps.
