Setting Out Engineer

Duration: Approx. 40 Weeks
Start Date: March 2026
Buildforce Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join a leading principal contractor on a major industrial project in Bedford. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure long-term work on a well-structured site with approximately 40 weeks’ duration.
Role Overview
You will be responsible for:

Setting out works in accordance with drawings and specifications
*
Quality Assurance (QA) processes and documentation
*
Producing and maintaining accurate as-built records
*
Working closely with site management and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered to programme and specification
Requirements
*
Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer on industrial or large-scale construction projects
*
Strong understanding of QA procedures and documentation
*
Experience producing accurate as-built records
*
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
*
CSCS card (essential)
*
Must have own setting out equipment (kit)
