Responsibilities
* General Mechanical duties
* Installation of mechanical equipment such as motors, gearboxes, bearings
* Fitting of steel support systems
* Fault finding on mechanical equipment
* Works can be varied and at times may be required to undertake other duties such as assisting an Electrician or Civils engineer
* Responsibility for the use of a company van
* Will work away from home on occasions when travelling is not in the best interest of the company, (this will tend to be Monday – Friday, weekends back home)
* Implement all of the company’s rules or procedures within the Health and Safety Policy that are appropriate to the activities being undertaken.
* Understand and sign onto all CPP/RAMS on Site and follow Safe Systems of Work and Risk Assessments.
* Adhere to all Health and Safety requirements and rules on Site.
* Think Safety in mind at all times to look after yourself and your colleagues.
Skills & Qualifications
* Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter
* Mechanical apprenticeship trained or level 3 equivalent in a similar field
* Confined Space trained
* Experience on water treatment sites e.g. sewage plants, pumping stations (desirable)
* CSCS Card Holder
* First Aid trained (Desirable)
* Health & Safety trained (IOSH) (Desirable)
