Job Summary
As a Soft Play Café worker, you'll be responsible for the daily operational duties and performance of the soft play area and cafe.
Contracted day Tuesdays, 8 hours, with additional shifts to cover parties, sickness and holiday.
Monthly rota provided.
Unfortunately we are unable to hire anyone under 18.
N.B. You will be lone working.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Ensuring that the Soft Play, café and related areas are well maintained and cleaned to a high standard. This includes things like wiping down tables, spot hoovering, clearing tables and rubbish, loading the dishwasher and refilling bathroom/kitchen dispensers.
* Supporting the delivery of birthday parties by running the cafe and acting as a host by helping setup their party.
* Answering customer enquiries related to the soft play, café area and private hires. This also includes being the first point of contact for customer complaints / issues / feedback and handling it in a professional and courteous manner.
* Greeting customers, welcoming them and opening/closing the gate for them after they have paid entry.
* Ensuring the gate is closed/locked at all times to ensure children's safety.
* Supervising the play area for any unwanted or disruptive behaviour and be willing to intervene where necessary. Training can be provided where necessary.
* Taking, preparing and serving orders, which includes low skill food preparation and use of a hot drinks machine, toaster, panini grill, blender and milk frother.
* Being Health, hygiene and safety responsible. This means being aware of any accidents and recording them where necessary, sufficiently cleaning up toilet accidents and drink spillages.

Key Skills and Experience
* First aid trained or willing to be (desirable)
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Ability to perform under pressure and be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
* Previous experience of working in a customer service environment, ideally within a Food and Beverage environment (desirable).
* Previous experience working with children in some capacity (desirable)
* Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures or willing to take qualification (desirable)
* Ability to work well on their own and use own initiative
