The Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Operations Assistant to join our team. The Operations Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the Operations Manager and wider team by coordinating day-to-day activities, handling project documentation, and ensuring smooth workflows across multiple passive fire protection projects. This role is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level candidate or someone looking to develop a career in construction operations, with full training provided.
Key Responsibilities of the Operations Assistant
* Assisting the Operations Manager in the planning and coordination of passive fire protection projects.
* Preparing, updating, and maintaining project documentation, compliance records, and checklists.
* Supporting the scheduling of works, allocation of resources, and monitoring of site activities.
* Coordinating materials, deliveries, and ensuring accurate distribution to site teams.
* Liaising daily with site managers, operatives, and subcontractors to maintain clear communication.
* Supporting health & safety compliance, operative records, and quality assurance checks.
* Assisting with training records, face-fit testing documentation, and operative sign-off sheets.
* Providing general administrative support to ensure smooth business operations.
Skills & Experience
* Strong organizational and communication skills, with a proactive approach.
* Previous experience as an Operations Assistant or Office Assistant is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided.
* Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
* Competence in IT systems, particularly Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* A positive attitude, excellent attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
