We are currently looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated General Kitchen Assistant to join our Catering Team. This position will be based at our Upper Academy.
Salary Range: National Minimum Wage
Working Hours: 07:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday - Friday
The successful candidate will:
1. Be reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
2. Have the ability to work both independently and in a team
3. Be detail-oriented and take pride in their work
4. Have a positive attitude and good communication skills
5. Have an awareness of Food Hygiene and Health & Safety procedures
Duties will include:
1. Basic food preparation, e.g., vegetables, salads
2. Preparation of sandwiches
3. Cleaning and clearing of food production areas
4. Serving hot and cold food and beverages
5. Replenishing counters
6. Clearing and cleaning counters of debris during service
7. Cleaning of counters and service equipment after service
8. Greeting customers helpfully and courteously
9. Providing customers with product information
10. Using the cash register
11. Keeping limited records (e.g., counter checks and stock sheets)
12. Assisting with the preparation and service at special functions
