Job Description:
Role Overview: We are seeking an Electrical Control and Instrumentation Systems Engineer to work on submarine projects, including Dreadnought and SSNA. The role involves end-to-end design of reactor control and instrumentation systems, integration, commissioning, and support throughout the lifecycle, in collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.
Responsibilities:
1. Design and specify control and sensor products for reactor systems.
2. Integrate subsystems, develop commissioning strategies, and support external teams.
3. Manage requirements and verify final products against design specifications.
4. Review and approve design documentation and support build and commissioning activities.
Qualifications:
* Degree or equivalent in electrical/electronics engineering.
* Membership in a relevant professional institution (e.g., The IET).
* Experience in architecture design, V&V, and requirements management.
* Background in power/control electronics, sensors, or systems engineering.
Preferred Skills: Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS), knowledge of NSRP electrical systems, proactive approach, ability to work with supply chain and multidisciplinary teams.
