Taylor Woodrow is delivering major infrastructure works as part of the CP7 rail framework, and we’re looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to join our team. This is a key role ensuring that all works meet the highest quality standards, comply with client requirements, and align with company processes.
You’ll support the Quality Manager in developing and maintaining quality systems, lead audits, and mentor junior team members. This is an opportunity to work on complex rail projects and play a pivotal role in driving a "Defect Free" culture.
Duties
* Develop and maintain project quality systems in line with company and client requirements.
* Communicate quality requirements and updates to the project team.
* Conduct audits on internal processes, design partners, and supply chain.
* Review and assess quality documentation from subcontractors.
* Prepare project-specific quality procedures and advise on their implementation.
* Assist in developing Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and ensure compliance.
* Manage NCR and snagging systems, ensuring timely close-out of actions.
* Support project handover processes and carry out weekly progress checks.
* Promote and deliver training on quality requirements and "Defect Free" culture.
* Contribute to achieving sustainability and carbon reduction targets within your work activities.
Person Specification
* Strong background in quality management within construction or rail projects.
* Auditor training and experience in conducting audits.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Ability to mentor and support less experienced team members.
* Knowledge of BIM Level 2 and its application in infrastructure projects (desirable).
