Your new role
1. Building Maintenance & ChecksConduct daily building walk-throughs to identify hazards or maintenance needs.Perform minor repairs (, door handles, light bulbs, furniture adjustments).Support planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules.Report major faults to the Facilities Manager and log them in the system.
2. Room & Event SetupArrange furniture layouts for meetings, training sessions, and events.Test and set up AV/IT equipment before use.Ensure rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use.
3. Post & DeliveriesSort and distribute iing mail and parcels.Prepare outgoing mail and liaise with couriers for collections.Maintain accurate delivery logs.
4. Inventory & SuppliesMonitor and replenish office consumables (stationery, kitchen supplies).Track stock levels and place timely orders.Maintain storerooms in an organised manner.
5. Contractor LiaisonEscort contractors on-site and ensurepliance with health and safety.Check permits to work and verify insurance documentation.Monitor contractor performance and report issues.
6. Health & SafetyAct as Fire Warden and assist during evacuations.Conduct weekly fire alarm tests and emergency lighting checks.Carry out water temperature checks for legionella control.Ensure first aid kits are stocked and accessible.
7. Administrative SupportLog and track helpdesk tickets to resolution.Update facilities management systems (, CAFM).Assist withpliance documentation for audits (ISO, H&S).
8. Customer ServiceGreet visitors and provide directions or assistance.Respond promptly to staff queries and escalate when needed.Maintain a professional and helpful demeanour at all times.
9. Additional DutiesSupport office moves and desk relocations.Assist with sustainability initiatives (, recycling programs).Participate in emergency drills and business continuity planning.
What you'll need to succeed
10. Experience: Previous experience in facilities, maintenance, or customer service is advantageous.
11. Certifications (Desirable):First Aid at WorkFire Warden TrainingHealth & Safety (, IOSH Working Safely)
12. Background Checks: May be required for roles in schools or with vulnerable groups
