Salary: up to £70,000 plus London Weighting and 15% bonus, depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.
Location: Office Base is London Television Centre or Cardiff. This is a hybrid role with a balance of office and home working.

The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Global News and Streaming Finance team within BBC Studios. The role reports to the Senior Finance Business Partner and collaborates with multiple stakeholders across Studios and Public Service. Key responsibilities include managing end-to-end budgeting, forecasting, and enhancing planning processes to ensure accurate and efficient financial reporting for World News, Global Ad Sales, and Digital News & Streaming.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead planning processes with a focus on P&L and cash, working with various teams and considering headcount, revenue, costs, and balance sheet.
* Manage planning cycle timelines, ensuring timely delivery of forecasts and reports.
* Monitor actual performance vs. budget, analyze risks and opportunities, and adjust forecasts accordingly.
* Prepare budgets, quarterly forecasts, and management reports, presenting information clearly to senior leadership.
* Provide regular reports and analysis to inform business decisions, including KPI monitoring and project cost tracking.
* Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including Public Service colleagues and finance teams.
* Improve financial processes, perform reconciliations, and support system enhancements.
* Assist in preparing and reviewing business cases and investment proposals.
* Line manage two finance analysts.
What Does It Take?
Essential Criteria
* Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
* Experience in budgeting, business planning, and forecasting, including system uploads.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
* Ability to work collaboratively under tight deadlines, managing multiple priorities.
* Experience in process improvement and financial system controls.
* Proficiency with financial accounting systems and Microsoft Office.
* UK-based.
Desirable Criteria
* Knowledge or experience in the media or broadcasting sector.
