Role: Electrician
Location: RAF Croughton & RAF Barford St Johns
Salary: Up to £42,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday + 1 in 4 on-call rota
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
The Opportunity Were looking for a skilled Electrician to join a high-performing team supporting critical infrastructure across two secure RAF sites. This is a varied, hands-on role where youll be responsible for keeping essential electrical systems running safely and efficiently across commercial and residential facilities.
Youll play a key role in maintaining operational performance, working both independently and as part of a wider team, with opportunities to develop your skills in a structured and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across a range of electrical systems
Respond to reactive repairs and fault finding
Complete electrical compliance testing in line with JSP375 standards
Undertake minor installation works within commercial and residential buildings
Use digital tools/tablets to log work, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
Participate in a 1 in 4 on-call rota
Travel between RAF Croughton and Barford St Johns as required
Maintain high standards of Health & Safety compliance at all times
Liaise effectively with site personnel and internal teams
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
City & Guilds Parts 1 & 2 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
2391 Testing & Inspection qualification
Proven experience in commercial electrical maintenance and repairs
Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations
Excellent communication skills and a professional approach
A full UK driving licence
Desirable (but not essential) Experience as an Authorised Person (AP) or Authorising Engineer (AE)
Knowledge of JSP375 and MOD environments
PASMA and/or IPAF certification
Experience with fixed wire inspections
