Manufacturing Manager
Location: Coventry
Salary: Circa £65,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Friday: 7:30 AM – 2:30 PM
Reporting to: Managing Director
Manages: Programmers, Machinists, and Operators
Role Overview:
As a key member of the Senior Management Team, the Manufacturing Manager leads all on-site manufacturing operations in Coventry. The role ensures the effective, timely, and high-quality production of components for UPVC/aluminium tooling, OEM machinery, and subcontracted products.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage operations across CNC (3/4/5 axis), EDM, turning, and manual machinery.
Plan, schedule, and optimise production to meet delivery targets and maximise output.
Drive process improvements to reduce lead times and enhance efficiency.
Ensure quality assurance, compliance with ISO 9001 & 45001, and maintain a safe working environment.
Collaborate with Design, Quality, Sales, and Supply Chain teams.
Lead, develop, and manage a skilled team, including task allocation, training, and performance reviews.
Oversee tooling, equipment maintenance, and TPM strategy.
Align and manage manufacturing systems with design tools (e.g. Solid Edge).
Candidate Profile:
10+ years' experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment.
5+ years in a leadership or management position.
Strong knowledge of CNC machining, tooling, and manufacturing systems.
Skilled in interpreting technical drawings and production planning.
Proven people management, problem-solving, and project delivery capability.
Desirable:
