Manage a designated district to ensure high-quality service delivery, safety, and security of estates, and tailor housing services to meet residents' needs. Ensure compliance with lease terms and legislation, while leading, developing, and motivating a large team across a wide geographical area to deliver excellent resident services aligned with operational business objectives.
Key Accountabilities:
* Accountable for managing, developing, and supporting a district to deliver excellent resident service and engagement, fostering a culture of co-creation and community.
* Oversee all aspects of service delivery, financial, legal, and regulatory performance within the district.
* Manage the performance and development of direct reports using performance management and behaviour frameworks.
* Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
* Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed and a culture of health and safety awareness is embedded within the district.
* Be accountable for the district budget, ensuring service charge budgets and sinking funds meet long-term viability requirements.
* Ensure compliance with lease terms, legislation, and best practices across the district.
Knowledge and Skills:
* Knowledge and experience in managing home ownership and mixed tenure properties.
* Understanding of critical areas of compliance with internal procedures and regulatory legislation, including lease terms.
* Ability to drive performance through management, support, and monitoring of KPIs.
* Experience managing a district budget (approx. £10 million), including service charge budgets and sinking funds.
* Understanding safeguarding requirements for older persons and vulnerable adults.
* Experience dealing with complex resident issues including anti-social behaviour and leasehold disputes.
* Ability to build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders and communicate effectively.
* Awareness of Landlord & Tenant Act 1985 and other relevant legislation.
* Experience in managing home ownership at a senior level
* CIH level 4 qualification is desirable, or willing to work towards
