The team collaborates with Adult and Children's Social Care services, Commissioning departments, and Quality Assurance teams within the council. External links include key statutory partners such as the Metropolitan Police, Bexley Integrated Care Systems (formerly CCG), and wider NHS provider services, along with other multi-agency partnerships as needed.
Main duties of the job
You will provide specialist advice and support to Managers and staff within Adult Social Care in managing adult safeguarding enquiries, ensuring compliance with developing practices in accordance with the Care Act 2014 and statutory guidance.

Job responsibilities
* Provide specialist advice and support to Managers and staff within Adult Social Care for safeguarding enquiries, ensuring compliance with the Care Act 2014 and statutory guidance.
* Advise and support external agencies and services in fulfilling safeguarding adults duties.
* Coordinate complex or establishment concerns (Level 3) enquiries.
* Support the Head of Safeguarding Adults and other senior leaders through robust quality and performance monitoring of adult safeguarding across Bexley.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Professional Social Work qualification or equivalent professional qualification or work experience.
* Current registration with Social Work England or relevant body.
Experience
* Significant experience as a senior practitioner working with vulnerable adults in health or social care settings.
* Experience in coordinating and conducting adult safeguarding investigations.

Salary and Benefits
£46,184 to £52,826 per year, inclusive of £2,769 Choices Benefit and a 5.5% Market Premium.
