Responsibilities
* To comply with the HCPC Code of Professional Conduct/NMC Code of Conduct.
* To comply with departmental principles of safe practice and agreed Trust policies and procedures, reporting discrepancies immediately when discovered.
* Communicate appropriately with all members of staff, patients and relatives.
* Assist in the maintenance of a safe working environment and comply with health and safety regulations.
* Work in other areas of the Trust if and when required. Participate as a team member/carry out duties in support of the theatre team.
* At all times respect patient confidentiality and, in particular, the confidentiality of electronically stored personal/manual data, in line with requirements of the Data Protection Act.
* Assist in promoting an environment of awareness of current issues, i.e. Clinical Governance, Shared Governance, Trust issues, Political / Professional Issues.
* Comply with Trust and Departmental Policies relating to the security, requisition and administration of drugs.
* Participate in an on-call rota if required.
