Thorpe CofE Primary School seeks a Learning Support Assistant to provide support a child with SEND. The hours of work are 11.25 per week: Thursday and Friday between 8.40am and 3pm with an unpaid morning and lunch break. This is a term time only contract commencing ASAP. Experience is desirable but not essential - training will be provided
Under the direction and supervision of the class teacher core responsibilities include:
1. Working as an LSA in Yr2
2. Following the instructions of the class teacher and SENCO
3. Clarifying and explaining instructions
4. Communicating effectively
5. Motivating pupils to learn
6. Organising the learning environment
Key Accountabilities will be:
7. Assisting in the delivery of day to day learning activities
8. Discussing with and reporting back to teacher on pupil’s work
9. Organising and maintaining the learning environment
10. Working as part of a team
11. Maintaining confidentiality inside and outside the workplace
12. Understanding and applying school policies

The LSA may be required to undertake any other reasonable tasks as required by the class teacher
Successful applicants must be able to support the distinctive Christian ethos of our school but do not have to be a practising Christian.
