Overview
QA Auditor, QA Auditor at Pilgrim's Europe — Location: Craigavon. Full time role works nights on site. Responsible for implementing, auditing and continual improvement of the Quality Assurance System, providing technical support to Production, Maintenance and Hygiene teams, and ensuring that products are produced safely to meet customer quality standards and legislative requirements consistently. Responsible for corrective actions to maintain products within specification.
Responsibilities
* Auditing of factory environment (including hygiene and cleaning activities), processes, products and records to verify adherence to standards and procedures; identify discrepancies; agree action plans with the responsible Manager to correct non-conformances and prevent re-occurrences.
* Reporting of factory technical status and non-compliance issues, verbally and in writing, including action plans.
* Overseeing product quality day to day in Despatch, On-Line, Taste Panel, etc.
* Maintenance of Quality Assurance System; retrievability of process and quality records to verify product specification, quality, safety and due diligence; continual improvement and internal auditing of procedures, records, product and hygiene specifications, cleaning effectiveness, stock management, wash effectiveness, and photographic standards for QA managers/auditors. Auditing may be local or as part of an independent auditing team.
* Auditing of HACCP to guarantee product safety (e.g., nut and glass policies).
* Traceability of all ingredients through to finished products and customer deliveries, including forward and backward traceability.
* Perform critical tasks to maintain the Quality System (e.g., thermal process validation, calibration, temperature monitoring).
* Provide technical guidance and support to other departments (Production, Hygiene, Engineering); provide training as required.
* Participate in operational problem solving, technical/hygiene problem solving and project work as allocated.
* Act to reduce environmental impact in processes and procedures (e.g., waste reduction, recycling).
* Any other duties as required to fulfil the needs of the role.
