Responsibilities
* Set up and operate CNC milling and turning machines to produce high-quality components according to specifications.
* Program, edit, and optimize machine controls using Heidenhain, Fanuc, or Siemens systems.
* Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications to determine machining requirements.
* Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machines to ensure optimal performance.
* Conduct quality inspections to verify that parts meet precise tolerances and quality standards.
* Collaborate with the engineering team to develop efficient machining strategies and improve production processes.
* Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements (Qualifications)
* Proven experience as a CNC Milling or CNC Turning Machinist, ideally in a precision engineering environment.
* Proficiency in programming and operating CNC milling machines.
* Strong working knowledge of Heidenhain, Fanuc, or Siemens programming systems.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications.
* Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
* Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Shifts
The ideal candidate would be willing to work a 3-shift system, including earlies, afternoons, and night shifts. Alternatively, candidates interested in working day and night shifts on a rotating basis are encouraged to apply.
Salary
The salary offering is a highly competitive range of £15.00 - £18.00 per hour, negotiable with experience and expertise (to include 33% shift allowance for a night role).
