About the Role
The Quantity Surveyor will be based in our Allied Infrastructure site at the Leigh depot. As Quantity Surveyor you will support the commercial function by effectively carrying out quantity surveying duties as directed by the Commercial Manager/Senior Quantity Surveyor as appropriate.
Responsibilities
* Use planning skills and programmes to monitor the works.
* Analysis and demonstration of delay and disruption and entitlement to extensions.
* Support budget and risk management on a project.
* Assist with cost planning and pre-contract cost control.
* Assist with project/commercial management reporting.
* Assist with recording works progress and assessing the effects of delay, prolongation and disruption.
* Assist with the interpretation and development of bills of quantities, schedules of rates and activity schedules.
* Assist with the management of interim and financial accounts.
Qualifications
The candidate will ideally hold an appropriate Construction Skills Certification Scheme card or be prepared to obtain one, be prepared to work towards a HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying (or other commercially related discipline) and be prepared to work towards a professional membership of an appropriate organisation (for example, RICS/CIOB/ICES). You will also have previous experience in a quantity surveying or similar commercial role in highways, civil engineering or infrastructure sectors.

Pay range and compensation package
We offer a great total compensation package, including:
* A salary of £35,000 - £42,000 per annum.
