Job Title: Cover Supervisor Location: Doncaster Salary: £460 – £650 per week (depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time Are you confident, adaptable, and passionate about supporting students in their learning? GSL Education are currently recruiting reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in schools across Doncaster. This rewarding role involves supervising classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring students remain engaged with their learning and complete set work in a structured and positive environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning while supporting positive behaviour across the classroom. Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor: Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher Deliver pre-set work and ensure students remain on task Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies Support students with their learning where required Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour Maintain a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment Follow safeguarding and school procedures at all times Work collaboratively with school staff and support teams Requirements of a Cover Supervisor: Previous experience working with young people is desirable Strong communication and classroom management skills Confident, proactive, and adaptable approach Ability to engage and motivate students Degree or relevant school-based experience is advantageous Passion for education and supporting student development An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or completing a new application.
