Reference: 590bbb43 Two Female Support Workers Required – Cramlington We are looking for compassionate, confident and reliable female Support Workers to support a young man living in Cramlington with cerebral palsy, autism and severe learning difficulties. He is friendly, vocal, and affectionate, when meeting new people. He is non‑verbal and communicates using gestures and sounds, so strong observational and communication skills are essential. Mornings can be particularly challenging, and he may show behaviours that challenge, especially towards people he knows well. Support workers will need patience, resilience and the confidence to provide clear, calm, and reassuring boundaries. He is a wheelchair user and requires hoisting for all transfers. He responds best to female support, particularly with personal care, as his main carer is also female.
