We are currently seeking a Block Plant Operative, to support our operations at Wickwar, in Gloucestershire.The ideal candidate will have experience with operating fork lift trucks, and other machinery.
Ideally, you will hold a UK driving license, allowing an easier commute to and from the Wickwar site.
This role operates on a 50 hour contract per week, Monday to Friday, working shifts. Please note, no night working is required within this role.
Key Responsibilities
1. Stock the yard with finished goods using mobile plant ensuring the plant can run continuously
2. Replenish the raw material storage bins as required to maintain production
3. Clean the Mixer and associated plant daily maintaining the standards required
4. Complete General Housekeeping duties

5. Comply at all times with Breedon Health and Safety rules and procedures maintaining a positive health and safety culture. Where possible improve site health and safety standards using recognised reporting procedures
6. To work in accordance with Site procedures
7. To attend work as required by your employment contract including overtime where agreed. Absence policy to be followed at all times. (50 Hours/week Mon-Sat, Actual shift dependent on Production Demands refer to exact detail in your contract)
8. To work as a team member to achieve Company and site goals.
9. To work effectively and efficiently to a high level, to achieve daily production requirements to the quality standards required
10. To be proactive and flexible in providing assistance with operational requirements
11. To complete all relevant documentation as required ensuring compliance with systems
12. Embrace training and development to enable multi skilled working.
13. Ensure equipment you use to perform your role is maintained and cleaned to a high standard reporting any issues that may affect production levels or their safe use
14. Generate improvement ideas to develop the site to produce a more efficient product
15. Be open to feedback from line management and/or colleagues in order to improve personal and company standards in all areas.
16. Maintain a high standards of hygiene when using site facilities
17. Follow the concept of ‘get it right first time’
18. Carry out all other reasonable duties as required by your line manager and that are commensurate with the nature of your job
