LOCATION: Salford - Hybrid, 1 day per week in the office
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £43,000 - £57,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
BBC iPlayer is one of the UK's most well-known and loved brands, and we're looking for a passionate engineer to join our team as we develop the next generation platform and video catalogue that powers BBC iPlayer and other BBC products. This is an exciting time as we build the future of BBC TV, and an opportunity to build systems that help millions of people watch their favourite shows every day.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT
* Building excellently engineered, highly available solutions using agile development practices.
* Contributing to a culture of engineering excellence and continuous improvement.
* Collaborating effectively to deliver the best value audience experience.
* Working in a DevOps model including solving operational issues and providing out-of-hours support.
* Sharing knowledge, learning new skills and adapting to change.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
* Expertise in Cloud architecture and key technologies (we use AWS extensively)
* Expertise in modern development tools and practices (CI/CD, DevOps, Pair Programming, TDD)
* Developing software with scale, security and performance in mind.
