White Cross Vets, Bloxwich are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a permanent basis. At Bloxwich, we’re able to offer a role that can be tailored towards your own clinical interests. White Cross are keen to ensure that all of their clinical staff’s development is ensured with full certificate support for those that wish to undertake it. Also, vets with less clinical experience are encouraged to apply as we have the resources to allow you to grow as a clinician.
Meet like-minded professionals
Bloxwich is a growing practice with great facilities including 3 consult rooms, cat ward, dog ward, operating theatre, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound and access to endoscope if needed. Working alongside our wonderful nurse team, we have 2 vets who have been qualified for 7 years. We hold the ISFM silver award for cat care. One vet has a post graduate certificate and another in Feline medicine. Within practice We also have SignalPet which uses artificial intelligence to provide support interpreting radiographs. We work at the highest standard of care and we have regular team meetings to help us grow and improve our knowledge. Our nurses and vets do regular audits. We are looking at increasing the amount of nurse consults that we preform, like weight clinics and diabetic clinics. Our nurses are very knowledgeable with a few certificates between them, these include ECC, Ncert in medicine, Fear Free cert, Ncert in consulting and the ISFM qualification. We have regular outings and wellness days, very friendly team and easy to get along with. We have regular snacks in the kitchen and an Alexa for music in prep and you will regularly hear our team singing along!

Although this advert is for a full-time position, we would consider any flexible working request and part time hours for the right candidate. A typical full-time role would involve working 40 hours per week over 4 days, with our shared Saturday rota. There’s no on call or out of hours required.
